One of the frequently asked questions by expecting moms is the hospital cost.
Of course, we have public hospitals here in the Philippines where our hospital bill will be zeroed. However, if you want to be well taken care of and if this is your first pregnancy, I suggest you look for a private hospital where you think you will be comfortable and will fit your budget. You also need to consider if your OB is affiliated with that particular private hospital of your choice.
Disclaimer: The one I am sharing is based on my personal experience, and my experience was I gave birth in a private hospital. The purpose is to give you a reference so you can prepare financially.
Before you proceed to the cost, I suggest you read first my details below:
A. Hospital:
Brokenshire Hospital, Davao City
B. Type of delivery:
Normal delivery, vacuum assisted.
C. Date of delivery:
September 16, 2022
D. No. of days in the hospital:
2 days
E. Hospital accommodation:
Semi-private transferred to private room.
Instead of a semi-private room, my baby and I were roomed in a private room because I was admitted without COVID-19 RT PCR test. I was tested in the emergency room, the result in 6 hours. But from the emergency room to the delivery room, it did not take me 6 hours. Thus, I was required to get a private room when it was time for rooming with the baby.
