PROCESSING SSS MATERNITY BENEFIT PART 2: REQUIREMENT, BIRTH CERTIFICATE CERTIFIED TRUE COPY

Getting the certified true copy of my little one's birth certificate is I think the easiest step I did in processing my SSS maternity benefit.

By the way, the hospital where I gave birth processed the original birth certificate. They released it a month after submission to the LCR (local civil registry).

After receiving the original birth certificate, we went to our city's Sanggunian. We were directed to the last window from the entrance.

Below were the given instructions:

a. Photocopy the original birth certificate, back-to-back in colored.

b. Go to the cashier's window and pay P70.00 (I only requested 1 copy CTC).

Note: The queue at the cashier's window was very long, I think I waited for 1 hour just to pay P70.00. It is still best to do your transactions in public establishments early to prevent time wastage.

c. Go back to the last window for processing of CTC. At least wait for an hour or less depending on the queue. For this transaction, I spent a total of P90.00* (not including transportation expense).

*Birth certificate photocopy (back to back, colored copy): P20.00

*Birth certificate certified true copy stamp: P70.00
