PROCESSING SSS MATERNITY BENEFIT PART 3: REQUIREMENT, DISBURSEMENT (using GCash) - VOLUNTARY MEMBER

What I love about the SSS agency is that most of their transactions are done online. For people like me who hate long lines, this is good news!

But since SSS has a large number of members, glitches on their website are unavoidable. My take on this is to try to access the website early in the morning or late in the evening.

Also, make sure you have a stable internet connection or mobile data. Never haste in closing or exiting the website.

Be patient.

If you are curious how I processed (online) my SSS maternity benefit disbursement account using Gcash, you are welcome.

Below are the steps.

You need to log in first to your SSS online account at https://members.sss.gov.ph/

After you successfully logged in to your SSS account, find the "Services" button and click. In the drop-down list, select "Disbursement Modules".

When you click the "Disbursement Modules" button, you will be directed to another drop-down button list. Select "Disbursement Account Enrollment Module".

The above image is the "Disbursement Account Enrollment Module" landing page. On this page, you will select "E-WALLET/RTC/CPO" to enroll your GCash account. Afterwards, you proceed by attaching your supporting documents.

Read the Reminder. After reading, you need to certify that you have read and understood the above.

Click "Proof of Account", then select " (screenshot of mobile app account)".

The above image is what I submitted as proof of account. Make sure your GCash account is FULLY VERIFIED; otherwise your enrollment is sure to be rejected.

After attaching your proof of account (fully verified GCash), proceed to "ID Card/Identification Document".

Above image is the list of Valid ID's accepted for disbursement account enrollment. For this purpose, I used my UMID card for identity verification.

Above selfie picture was APPROVED!

Make sure your valid ID is readable.

Finally, you need to attach a selfie/photo showing your fully verified GCash and valid ID.

The above selfie/photo was REJECTED!

The above selfie/photo was APPROVED! ZOOM pa more!

After attaching this third supporting document, certify that the supporting documents you submitted are true and correct, click the check button. Then click the "Enroll" button found at the lowest portion of the page.

(Note: If you can't find the enroll button, particularly if you are using your mobile phone or tablet, just ROTATE your device.)

I downloaded the "PicSay" app which allowed me to adjust the size of the photos I submitted to SSS. Adjust all your photos first before accomplishing the steps above.

Although it mentioned "selfie", based on my experience, NEVER do a "selfie". You may ask for assistance to take your photos for the best capture. This will assure you a high chance of receiving an approved notification from SSS via email, even in one attempt!

Speaking of email, make sure you have updated your personal details on your SSS member account. Update your email and contact number.

Before exiting the webpage, make sure the above (Enrollment Confirmation) is shown on your screen. Otherwise, you will do the above steps all over again until you get approved!

Be Patient!

Wait for the approval or rejection (God forbid) email notification from SSS. Make sure to check your spam folder if you don't receive one.
